CLEO Systems, Integrated Care 24, and Business Systems are delighted to announce that its NICE Nexidia Speech and Text Analytics project has been shortlisted for Best Healthcare Analytics Project for the NHS at the HSJ Partnership Awards 2022, recognising their outstanding contribution to healthcare – in what has been an exceptional and challenging period across the sector.
Despite the demanding circumstances of the past two years, over 190 entries have been received for this year’s HSJ Partnership Awards, with 123 projects making it to the final shortlist. The volume and standards of applications has been a true testament to those health and social care colleagues, who continue to push outstanding work and transformational projects across the sector.
The judging panel was once again made up of a diverse range of highly influential and respected figures within the healthcare community, including Dr Matt Aiello (National Programmes Lead, Education Reform, Health Education England); Dr Elena Bechberger (National Programme Director – LVHC Programme, NHS England and NHS Improvement); Claire Igoe (Head of Environmental Sustainability - Manchester University FT) and Vinice Thomas (Director of Nursing and Quality, NHS England and NHS Improvement).
Following the intense and in-depth judging process, CLEO Systems, IC24, and Business Systems were shortlisted, ahead of the official awards ceremony to be held this year (24th March). Standing out amongst tough competition from hundreds of other exemplary applicants, IC24, CLEO Systems and Business Systems have been selected based on the ambition, visionary spirit and the demonstrable positive impact that the project has had on patient and employee experiences within the health sector.
The introduction of NICE Nexidia Speech Analytics into CLEO Core, the clinical patient management system used by IC24 in its NHS 111 services, was designed to improve patient care through the use of analytics to support quality improvement, performance management and to better understand the ‘how and why’ people use their service, and to improve their experience. As the first NHS 111 provider to implement this system, IC24 saw an opportunity to work with Business Systems and NICE Nexidia to integrate the tool into CLEO Core enabling crucial information such as sentiment analysis and root cause analysis to be used as service improvement tools for better outcomes.
David Brown, Managing Director, CLEO Systems said: ‘To be shortlisted in these awards is fantastic recognition of this project. At the heart of what we wanted to achieve through our implementation of speech and text analytics is to provide our patients with a better service, and to offer a better experience and improved insights for our people. We’re already seeing the benefit of our investment in this software, and as a social enterprise the financial savings we create can also be reinvested back into the organisation for the benefit of the patients we serve.’
Adam Kantor, CEO at Business Systems comments, 'We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Best Healthcare Analytics project for the NHS, recognising the collaborative efforts and dedication of our staff members over the last 12 months to successfully implement NICE Nexidia Speech and Text Analytics. IC24 and CLEO Systems are committed to delivering improved outcomes for their patients, and to be chosen among the other incredible nominees is a wonderful achievement. This nomination has been a tremendous boost to staff at CLEO Systems, IC24 and Business Systems and I am sure it will bolster our continued efforts to improve both our services.'
