CLEO Secures CareConnect Accreditation

It's a new dawn for urgent care services, as CLEO Systems launches its suite of digital healthcare solutions.

With around 30 years' experience of developing in-house software solutions for urgent care services, at CLEO Systems we are delighted to launch our innovative patient management software to primary, urgent and emergency care providers across the country.


This is one of the first patient management systems to include a CareConnect accredited end-to-end digital appointment booking solution to support ongoing national enhancements of urgent and emergency care, with NHS111 becoming the gateway to urgent care services.

 

The solution has a Supplier Conformance Assessment List (SCAL) certificate awarded by NHS Digital. It has provider and consumer capabilities, meaning that it supports the direct appointment booking of patients from services such as NHS111, and enables appointment booking from services such as urgent treatment centres (UTCs) or Emergency Departments (ED).

 

CareConnect Open APIs have been developed by NHS Digital to support the delivery of care by opening-up appointment information and data held across different clinical care settings. CareConnect provides a standard for interoperability, allowing providers' various systems to talk to each other, and seamlessly transfer data to improve the patient journey.

 

Patients are given a booked time slot to reduce waiting times at onward services, and the providers of the onward services are given useful advance notice of patient flows as well as an indication of the conditions patients will be presenting with. This provides a great benefit in the management of the current Covid-19 pandemic through supporting social distancing by helping reduce the number of people in waiting rooms.
