Q&A with Emma Dew, Sales and Marketing Director: Reflections on CPC 2025
Q: Emma, you’ve recently returned from the Clinical Pharmacy Congress. Can you tell us a bit about your experience?
A: Absolutely! This year marked CLEO Systems’ first time exhibiting at the Clinical Pharmacy Congress (CPC), which made it especially exciting for us. CPC is known for focusing on what truly matters to pharmacy professionals and it was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the wider pharmacy community. We were proud to showcase how CLEO’s digital tools are supporting pharmacy-led care across various settings.
From the conversations we had, it’s clear that digital transformation is a major focus in the sector—and it’s a topic that’s very close to our hearts.
Q: Why was it important for CLEO Systems to be at CPC?
A: CPC has firmly established itself as a key event in the pharmacy calendar. Being there gave us a unique platform to demonstrate our Electronic Prescribing for Outpatients solution, CLEO SOLO EPS —one of the first of its kind —at the event. It was a great opportunity to lead the conversation around digital innovation in pharmacy.
Q: What stood out to you most over the two days?
A: That’s a tough one—there was so much to take in! The quality of the speakers was outstanding and every session we attended offered valuable insights. One highlight was the session on the NHS Pathfinder Programme, which drew a huge crowd. It was incredibly relevant to what we were showcasing at our stand and really helped bring our conversations to life.
There was also a lot of buzz around EPS and digital clinical pathways—CPC felt like the perfect platform for these discussions.
Q: How was engagement across the event for CLEO Systems?
A: It was fantastic! We connected with so many clients, prospects and colleagues from across the field. What stood out was the quality of the conversations—people were genuinely interested in how digital tools can enhance the patient – and clinician - experience.
Q: Can you tell us more about who you were engaging with at the stand?
A: We were speaking to exactly the right audience—pharmacists, clinical leads and superintendents from NHS Trusts. Many were already familiar with us through the Pathfinder project and were eager to see a demo. Those encountering CLEO for the first time were really impressed.
We also sensed growing anticipation from sectors like community pharmacy, midwifery and mental health for CLEO’s solutions to become more widely available.
Q: How does CPC compare to other events CLEO has attended this year?
A: CPC has definitely been one of our standout events this year. The level of engagement and relevance to our work made it a real highlight.
Q: What’s next after CPC?
A: We’re following up with some fantastic contacts and already planning for the rest of the year’s events. Our focus remains on supporting pharmacy professionals in delivering safer, more efficient care through digital innovation.
