CLEO Systems is thrilled to announce that David Brown, the company’s Managing Director, has today graduated with a Distinction in a Masters in Business Administration (with Entrepreneurial Specialism).

The graduation took place today, Friday 19th July, at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick.

David Brown is MD of CLEO Systems and his Executive MBA dissertation was entitled 'Commercialisation of innovative first mover electronic prescribing software solution within the NHS market.'

David’s dissertation stems from personal experience of illness which left him feeling passionate to make improvements to the patient journey where the development of a digital solution that would support secondary care clinicians prescribing remotely to their patients into their local community pharmacy would be of huge added value.

His dissertation therefore tracks the journey of both David’s own development which has been closely aligned with the creation and safety testing of a new innovative first-mover electronic prescribing solution within the NHS secondary care outpatient’s sector.  This was achieved through research supported via literature review in the safe administration of medicines, the systematic approach to secondary care outpatients prescribing, through to NHS market commercialisation considerations.

David says: "Through the qualitative and quantitative research, I aim to extend knowledge through the solutions use and direct feedback from the clinicians involved in using the first-mover solution.  This research objectively supporting analysis of appropriateness for market scalability, assessment of the solution and opportunity for further ideation and creativity, resulting in an overall assessment for the solutions readiness and applicability for a new venture creation."

David continues: "This MBA concludes an amazing two-and-a-half-year journey that has seen me cover 12 incredible modules and has supported the development of my knowledge and capability. Thank you to the Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust for supporting my research, as well as the CLEO Systems and NHS England Digital Medicines Teams whose collaboration brought the solution to life. This has been a life changing experience and I would like to thank everyone who has supported me on this journey!"

Huge congratulations to David from the team at CLEO Systems!
