CLEO CORE is now live in FCMS' Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) in Blackpool. By using CLEO CORE in the CAS, FCMS teams are able to electronically prescribe via integrated CLEO EPS and clinically refer patients as the team receive patient information ready for clinical consultation and onward referral if needed. CLEO CORE uses PaCCS to provide NHS Pathways content in a consultation format and supports ambulance dispatch, Directory of Services (DoS) search, home care advice and full use of Care Connect.
Clinicians within the CAS are able to view a read-only version of the patient's detailed GP practice record with GP Connect HTML. CLEO Core also gives the teams at FCMS access to Summary Care Record, Medical Interoperability Gateway, Child Protection Services and Safeguarding functionality.
Established in 1994, FCMS is a Social Enterprise, not-for-profit health and wellbeing provider, delivering 24-hour integrated care across multiple Health Economies . It also runs a range of services to support communities including: GP Extended Access Services, Care Coordination, Primary Care Streaming, DVT, Community based Wound Care Services, diagnostics, Urgent Dental care and call handling services
The CLEO Systems patient management system, CLEO CORE, supports Urgent and Primary Care providers to deliver healthcare services in a variety of out-of-hospital settings – and has been successfully rolled out as a pilot at the CAS in early October. The CAS allows for a greater level of clinical expertise in assessing a patient than would normally be expected of a referring clinician (such as a GP). This expertise ensures that patients are directed efficiently and effectively into the most appropriate onward care pathway.
Lee McGlynn, Chief Operating Officer, at FCMS, said: “This first implementation of CLEO CORE at our Clinical Assessment Service has gone very smoothly and has been a real team effort with excellent support from the CLEO Systems product experts. We are delighted that our team now has access to CLEO CORE and looking forward to seeing the benefits. FCMS values organisations who are willing to work in partnership to direct the products to best meet the needs of patients and the wider health system and, in CLEO, FCMS see an opportunity to work with a digital solution fit for today’s health ecosystem with the social enterprise ethos at its core.”
David Brown, Managing Director, CLEO Systems said: “It has been fantastic working with FCMS on this deployment, which has been a real collaboration in interoperability and means that clinicians and patients alike will benefit from enhanced clinical support when assessing patients.”
Emma Dew, Head of Customer Experience & Marketing, CLEO Systems said “It has been refreshing to work with a team that openly embrace the need for change and can see the value in building out a project for long term digital transformation. The pressures on the Urgent Care sector continue to be unprecedented and I am delighted that the use of CLEO will support the team with increasing patient demand”
FCMS continues to drive their digital transformation programme forward by bringing together multiple partners to create an interoperable digital infrastructure underpinned by the CLEO Systems’ ability to utilise APIs to create simple interoperability.
