A Secure and Structured Contingency Pathway
Introducing CLEO NHS 111 Contingency Module
As you may be aware, the NHS-provided contingency platform used during NHS Pathways outages is currently scheduled to be withdrawn from service in July 2026.
For many services, this will mean reverting to paper-based processes during system outages which will increase clinical risk, operational pressure, and recovery workload. With increasing reliance on digital clinical systems, unplanned downtime presents real operational and patient safety risks.
The CLEO NHS 111 Contingency Module is an independent solution designed to ensure NHS 111 services can continue operating safely and digitally when your host clinical system is unavailable.
Maintain triage, referral, and clinical governance - without reverting to paper processes. Whether facing temporary outages or extended system disruption, CLEO NHS 111 Contingency Module provides a secure and structured contingency pathway that protects patient safety, supports clinicians, and maintains service continuity.
Several providers have highlighted the operational burden of paper contingency alone exceeding £100k annually when factoring storage, administration time, and reconciliation.
